As of January 1, 2020, Ringier Axel Springer Hungary assigns Eleonóra Kiss to ensure the business management of its daily paper Blikk and Blikk Online, and to further consolidate the media brand’s market leading position. Other changes are also expected among the publisher’s executives as two columnar members of RAS Hungary’s management team have applied for retirement from the New Year.

As of January 1, 2020, Ringier Axel Springer Hungary welcomes Eleonóra Kiss to lead the business unit of its daily media products as Head of Division. The media expert will be responsible for the business success of Blikk newspaper and news site and will be responsible for further consolidating the newspaper’s market leadership as well as promoting the online news site’s market penetration.

Eleonora Kiss has over twenty years of professional experience in tabloid publishing: she arrives to Blikk from Bors and Bors Extra tabloid papers and their digital platforms where she served as Publishing Director. Previously she had been Project Manager of media products like Színes Mai Lap, Sztár FM, Eurosport and Auto Motor. Eleonóra Kiss has extensive professional experience in publishing. Nonetheless, RAS Hungary’s current Director of Distribution and Logistics, István Gajdos will stay responsible for the distribution of Blikk daily along with all other print titles of the media company.

In the past two years, business operation functions of Blikk were provided as a result of internal reorganization after Zoltán Hornyacsek, former Publishing Director of the Daily Division left the company Fall 2017. In line with its market weight, Blikk as a product group, will receive more attention with the new structure.

Further changes are also expected in the management of Ringier Axel Springer Hungary. After nearly three decades of work at the publisher, Mihály Soltész, Head of Product Development and Aranka Stefanek, editor-in-chief of the crossword’s magazines applied for retirement from January 2020. In her role Aranka Stefanek will be followed by Géza Iványi deputy EiC, while the functions of Mihály Soltész will be deployed within the current management.
