Ringier Axel Springer Hungary Launches Its First Bookazine

Ringier Axel Springer Hungary introduces a new product under the name Bookazine Bestseller. The first volume of the bookazine series focusing on history is out on the shelves of magazine and bookstands from today, which presents the events unfolding, the impacts and the historical background of WWI in a colourful volume packed with information.

The first bookazine published by Ringier Axel Springer Hungary is out on the shelves of newspaper and bookstands on the centenary of the end of WWI, on the date on which the treaty ending the war actually was signed. The volume combines the advantages of presenting topics in educational book and magazine format: it presents the massive conflict through ample visual content by providing detailed and comprehensive information as well.

"We are publishing our first bookazine in twenty thousand copies and selling it nationwide through magazine and book sales networks. The Bookazine Bestseller series will be published next year by presenting another field of history and we plan on publishing it as a periodical issue in the long run," said Gergely Tóth-Császár, publishing director of Ringier Axel Springer Hungary.

The volume published with the title History of the First World War targets the average adult reader interested in the topic. The adult audience is truly relevant this time round: the volume presents horrific moments richly illustrated with contemporary photos by showing readers the true face of the war. The volume offers something new in terms of content from a local perspective by analysing events from the angle of the British Empire and focusing on the role of the super powers.

"Our first bookazine may be a useful addition to Hungarian literature focusing on WWI; moreover, it also offers a less conventional, but relevant outlook that is difficult to access from other sources. One of these is the compilation that sheds light on in how many ways and in what manner the Great War generated changes to the social role of women, equally impacting today's social framework.
